Well, the Spring 2010 school semester is now in session which means another drastic reduction in the Kimball's WoW time. This time around, we're going to practice some time management and try including WoW in our regular weekly routine of work>school>sleep>chores>play priorities. School's out for winter break! I see there was a mass defection in my absense, which is tragically unfortunate, but I'm sure everyone had good reason. In any event, I'm back and ready to play, though I feel totally out of the loop with so many patches that I had to download and so many game changes! I noticed that our guild website roster is out of synch with the Blizzard roster, so I'm going to debug it for the next couple days. Well, thanks to the 10% rule of mass-production (10% of everything mass-produced is faulty), my laptop has been rebuilt twice in as many weeks. Compound that with school starting up next week and you see why I haven't been playing much. I get obsessive about playing World of Warcraft, so as a matter of self-control, I do not log in during school semesters. Please call my cell or txt me if you need anything urgent during the next 16 weeks. In the mean-time, I trust you all know what you're doing and can press on without me. Have fun in my stead and I'll see you all again in a few months! :)
I have completed programming work on the new Member Home Instance Coordination (Scheduling Assistance) tool! It still requires good data to be fully functional, so please consider it 95% finished overall and feel at liberty to help finish the data research. If you can help, all we need you to do is download the Excel spreadsheet file in the research directory of our file share and update it, then send your changes to me for incorporation.
If you want to be included in scheduled instances/raids, then it is up to you to register here, claim your own toons, and keep your availability up to date as it changes. Members who are not interested in scheduled events need not worry about this tool. It exists only for your benefit. You can still get in on instances/raids if you happen to be logged in at the right time!
Note: While I created this tool specifically for our volunteer Raid Coordinator, all guild officers have access to it because that's how scheduling rights are managed by the in-game system. On that note, check it out if you can and enjoy! Feedback and bug reports are very welcome and will help make this new tool even better!
As a matter of organization, I have split the statistics segment of the roster page off and onto a new page of its own. Also, I have updated our database and some related statistics to support dual-talented characters. More related features to come!
Member Home pages have a new feature! You can now set and freely adjust your in-game availability (especially for raid times). An aggregated report will soon be available that will show our best opportunities to run 5, 10, and (someday) 25 person instances and raids! Please take the time to enter your availability now, and remember to update it whenever your weekly schedule changes!
Wolves of Mibu has merged with Devastation! Our two guilds share a common culture so this merger has been very good for everyone involved. Soon to be gone are the days needing to PuG 5- and 10-man parties! :D
The roster is working again after I had to change a bunch of code to match the new Armory format. Even Blizzard is having trouble with their own changes to the Armory; just look at our Armory Guild Statistics page... totally broken at the time of this writing. :)
I have finished adding membership management code! Please join now and claim your characters! Our guild roster page will clean up as more and more members do this.
I added some level and class color coding to the guild roster images and created a dynamic level histogram and some other stats to the roster page. Enjoy!

William is officially out of school until the Fall 2009 semester begins (either in August or September... won't know which until he can register for classes in August). Expect to see him in WoW probably every day! If you log in and he's not there, send him a txt message (he might be sleeping off a long WoW session from the prior day). >.<
FaceBook has a WoW app! It lets you load all your WoW characters onto your FaceBook profile (either on your Boxes page, your Info page, or both). As if that weren't cool enough, it also automatically provides a guild page already equipped with a forum! If you haven't already, please create a FaceBook profile and add the WoW app to your pages with all your characters. This will alleviate our forum shortage (permanently?) and let us stay in touch out of game. When you have your FaceBook profile set up, please link to William's. Thanks!
William will be on an extended break from college until the start of the Fall 2009 semester. During this break, he will undergo back surgery which will require a five month recovery. As you might be suspecting, this means he'll be playing an aweful lot of World of Warcraft! This break begins on March 7, 2009. See you on-line! :D
The Wolves of Mibu website has been taken off-line due to serious security problems with PHP-Nuke. Because PHP-Nuke now charges users for upgrades, we have decided to no longer use this terrible software. PHP-Nuke's serious problems were bearable while it was free, but this is no longer the case. We will not pay for burden.
This website will remain static and be used for infrequent manual news updates only. Perhaps when William has more time (after college or when on break), he can write us a whole new, custom, burdon-free guild website! Until then, have fun and we'll all see each other in game!
Note that the general file share is still available. If you wish to add to it, please contact William to receive your FTP logon or send him files to post.
